Capsule Collection
Capsule Collection Volume 01 is a set of three luminaires made of glass, acrylic and metal. The io Pendant is shaped by gravity-fed glass extrusion, which turns a circular drawing into a ribbed cylindrical form. Components are hidden so the glass reflects and refracts the light. Halftone is a wall light with a pattern etched on translucent acrylic, which forms a ring of light while the wall stays visible. Orb is a wall light with an illuminated sphere and an adjustable magnifying mirror that moves around it, suited to use beside a bathroom mirror.
Capsule Collection Lighting by Astro Lighting was selected as a grand illustration of industrial design by the A' Design Award. Capsule Collection Lighting earned the Golden A' Design Award in Lighting Products and Fixtures Design in 2021. The A' Lighting Products and Fixtures Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design recognition program which rewards superior design of chandeliers, pendant lights, wall sconces, table lamps, floor lamps, outdoor lights, recessed lights, track lights and more.
