Eleware is a set of tableware based on the changing culture and ritual in China. It's designed to make the dining process more elegant and less embarrassing. It has three functions - hiding your face and bones when spitting out bones, using inclined bottom to help filter out oil on the food and helping people enjoy their soup like tea.
Continue readingImpurities such as metals, rubbers and plastics must be removed during the glass sorting process which consumes huge amounts of electricity and manpower. And food container is the one needs to be sorted from other materials the most, because they consist of at least two different materials to make glass be sealed to keep food fresh. My design does not use any other materials except glass to form a confined space suitable for food storage. Using single material saves energy by reducing manufacturing steps and reduces the energy consumed during the glass sorting process.

Continue readingThis pie chart plate enables fresh couples to grasp how well balanced their foods are roughly, without weighing foods or counting the nutritional value. The team targeted fresh couples for this plate. They tend to eat unhealthily in their new married life. Because the new life with partner enhances appetite. At the same time, they don’t want to trouble each other to care about their foods too much. To solve the problems, the team aimed to balance controlling their diet easily with enjoying to eat. And they achieved it getting inspiration from pie chart, the symbol of balance visualization.
Continue readingInspired by nature, digitally crafted, and meticulously refined with a master whisky distiller, the Norlan Whisky Glass has been designed to capture whisky's complex flavors and aromatics and deliver them to the senses like never before. The featherweight, double-walled structure features specially developed protrusion forms inside the glass. When whisky is swirled within the bowl, these forms generate a standing wave shape, increasing the surface to air ratio and rate of oxidization, thereby reducing the presence of ethanol for more expressive aromas and an improved drinking experience.

Consequently, they never become the cause of metallic allergies. You can focus on your sense of taste as the thin, silky finish of the zirconia tip makes it easy to take hold of the food with exceptionally smooth feeling in and out of the mouth. The matte zirconia cutleries softly reflecting atmospheric lighting shall bring serenity to the dining scene.
